  • Description

UC 699 polyurethane coating is a solvent free, two-part polyether-based coating. It yields an extremely flexible hi-build product with good chemical resistant and elongation properties.

    Application

  • Mix the activator and the base separately before adding the activator to the base and mixing thoroughly for a minimum of 3 minutes with a paddle mixer.
  • Apply a thin coat of primer by brush and allow the solvent to evaporate before applying coating or sealant.
  • Once the primer loses its tackiness, re-prime.
  • The self-levelling grade may be applied ion a single application by notched trowel or rake and rolled with a spiked roller to assist in the levelling process as well as to remove bubbles.
  • Walls and sloping areas should be coated with the thixotropic grade using a brush or roller. Note two coats are recommended and the intercoat time must not exceed 24Hours.
  • Surface Preparation

  • The correct preparation of the surfaces is critical.
  • All surfaces should be clean, sound, and dry, and all laitance or surface contamination should be removed by wire brushing, grinding or grit blasting.
  • Vacuum or blow with compressed air to ensure total removal of dust.
  • On masonry substrates, UC 695 is recommended.
  • Product Application

It is used as a seamless flexible waterproofing and chemical resistant coating in containment or bunded areas where crack bridging of the substrate is essential.

    Cleaning

  • Clean all tools immediately after use with UC 901.
  • Once the material has polymerised it may only be removed mechanically.
  • Safety

  • Contains isocyanates.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation.
  • Do not use in confined spaces.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation and the absence of any ignition source.
